The Royal Norfolk Show, founded in 1847, is an annual event in the county I hail from. It is, primarily, an agricultural show aimed at promoting improvements to breeding livestock and crops as well as exhibiting award winning breeds of animals and foods. It wishes to also educate young people and the general public about farming, the struggles they face in modern day and help get people involved. The show also allows local businesses, companies and charities, with no connections to farming, to host stalls and sell goods, raise money or advertise. There is fun and games, rides and stalls, it has something for all the family.
You can read more about its history and Royal status by visiting the official website.
This blog will share some of my favourite photos of the day, mainly animals and food and face pulling photos. I’m a woman of simple pleasures. Remember, you can also follow regular photo updates on my Instagram profile. You can use photos from my blog but they must be credited to WrittenByNikki.com.
