APOD stands for Astronomy Picture of the Day. This is a website which publishes a photo a day on all things space related as part of NASA. From photos of stars, planets, black holes, to space shuttles and technology used in space exploration, this account tweets the photos so you never miss an update if you forget to check for a day and can share/retweet it easily. Each photo comes  with an explanation of what it is which is easy to understand. A definite follow must for people who love stunning photos of the universe.

History in an Hour – Historical

History in an Hour does what it says. It links out to ebooks you can download which are concise, easy and quick to read and cover all aspects of history from around the world. This is perfect for people who like to read on the go, about all types of history and are looking for the facts without too much filler. They tweet all day about so much that you will be amazed at what you can learn. A pleasure to have in your feed for history buffs and readers.

Chortle Comedy – Stand Up

Chortle is a UK-based comedy website which releases news of comedians, stand up shows, TV, radio and interviews so you can find new talent as well as keep up with the comedians you already love. This is a great account to follow if you love to laugh. I’ve found many new comedians  – there is a comprehensive list of people on there all with bio’s, TV shows to watch because of this site. It’s also great for interviews so you can laugh at them as well as learn more about them as people. A little light comedy relief for your feed.

QI Elves – Facts

QI is a British television show and stands for Quite Interesting. It is based on facts about history, science, society, anything and everything fact. Unlike other accounts which tweet “facts”, these are real, researched gems which are used as part of the TV series or ones that the researchers – or elves as they like to call themselves –  find so interesting that they just need to share. They are often funny, informative and you can impress your friends by remembering them and sharing them over a quick drink or at a pub quiz.
